MICROSOFT WINDOWS 8 DESIGN AND FEATURES

Finally Windows 8 is released and it comes with more exciting features. Modern UI is a new philosophy which is first introduced in windows phone 7 and then faster makes it way to other products. Following are some latest features of Windows 8:


NEW LOCK SCREEN:

The current Windows lock screen is very useless and boring. So Microsoft decided to change the Windows lock screen. The new lock screen of Windows 8 is very informative and useful. Just like Android tablets or iPad lock screen, the Windows 8 lock screen also shows information like remaining battery status, weather, calendar, no of unread mails, facebook updates etc. In this new lock screen, there are many new ways to unlock your screen.


HOME SCREEN:

As compared to other Windows, this is totally a new “desktop”. Well, there is no any start menu in Windows 8. The old desktop is fully replaced by a new home screen. From this home screen, you can directly access to your programs. Instead of folders and icons, there are tiles which shows all the information of the program. When you click on these tiles it opens the program. You can see at least 20-25 tiles in your computer depending upon the resolution of your computer.

 WINDOWS STORE:

In the older windows, the user downloads the installer from the web to install the programs. In Windows 8, the useful software and programs with modern UI design language is introduced in the windows store. By this concept, you can download every program from a single store. This concept is very similar to the app markets of iPad, iPhone and Android devices etc.

WINDOWS LIVE SYNCING:

The new Windows 8 also provides you the latest feature of live Windows syncing. It doesn’t matter if have tablet, notebook or PC. You will be able to sync your personal settings and information. So if you buy new tablet or PC then sync your personal setting in the tablet. This feature of Windows 8 allows you to sync your colours, backgrounds, lock screen, app settings, browser settings etc. If you want to sync your personal setting then you would just need to create a “Windows Live ID”.
